The ‘be good to your muscles’ smoothie

We all know breakfast is the most important meal of the day so why not make it the tastiest.  Kick start your day with this protein power shake.

You will need:

(serves 1)

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 handful spinach
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 2 ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries

Top tip:

Blend it up and drink on the way to work (just make sure you remove the berry seeds from your teeth before you arrive!)
If you don’t have one already I recommend buying a nutri bullet or nutri ninja.  I use mine every single day. 

Simple steps:

  • Place all the ingredients into a blender and blend. It really is that simple.
  • If I have a bit more time I like to make my shake a little thicker and create a smoothie bowl.  Do this by adding a little less liquid. Then if you are feeling extra hungry top with some sliced banana and mixed seeds.
